Brian bought a new phone last week, the Droid. Awesome phone, he is really happy with it so far. When he bought the phone, he was given a voucher for four tickets to a Texas Stars hockey game. After our trip to Wurstfest, we drove to Cedar Park for the game. This was Morgans' first hockey game, and he had a really good time.
Usually with vouchers, you expect to be sitting in the nose bleed section behind a post...in this case we had good seats about 12 rows up from the ice.The Stars were playing the Manitoba Moose, for the first five minutes of game play there were three fights. I don't think they could have fit another player in the penalty box!
As this was the weekend after the Fort Hood incident, a moment of silence was observed. It was also Military Appreciation day, and soldiers from all branches of service were present, there were even four new recruits sworn in just before the game.
